Thanks - It is a membership site, and only by logging in can the problem be replicated. I'm already running the latest Firefox - 98.0.1 - Firefox for Ubuntu.

The site is a closed membership site. It requires login access to replicate the problem. I'm already on Firefox 98.0.1 . It has been tested with 98.0 and 98.0.1 and probably versions prior to that.

Is there a method to tell me if the Firefox I'm running is from the distro or from that download ? They are both 98.0.1

So I was able to run that downloaded version, and the problem still exists. meaning the video to watch doesn't appear. Thanks for your help though "jonzn4SUSE"  :)

Does your Firefox have support for MPEG-encoded video? I have a copy of YouTube's old HTML5 test page to check whether Firefox is stating that it can:

If MPEG-encoded video is not supported, the usual reason is that Firefox cannot find the FFmpeg package components it needs for that.

(Just to clarify, that would be the usual reason on Linux, not other OSes.)

Thanks "jonzn4SUSE". I created that boot usb of Tumbleweed, and booted up today. Used Firefox (it was vers 98.0 on Tumbleweed), and exactly the same problem again, no video shown.

I even installed Chrome and Opera on Kubuntu, same bug/problem. So I have to say it is NOT Firefox, but the site for some reason, won't show the video.

PS I liked the openSUSE look/feel, it booted up fast. I may consider adding it in as a KVM or Virtual box on the same HDD as Kubuntu. Then I can try the different apps I use.

Thanks jonzn4SUSE - I started to look at the package versions I have now with Kubuntu 20.04.4 and compared them with the latest openSUSE, and the openSUSE was usually quite a few versions infront/ahead of Kubuntu. So, I might be doing some testing of openSUSE in a VM on the Kubuntu box.

With that "one-click" link - will that help/enhance the possibility of openSUSE/Firefox being able to view the video I wonder ??
