Thunderbird Password reinstatement
I deleted the password entries in Privacy and Security, Passwords as I needed to change the password and couldn't find where to do it as Saved Logins just gives Remove options and it wasn't obvious that you could Show Passwords and then change them (I can see this now on another account) I though deleting passwords I would be asked to re-add them! This hasn't happened and Thunderbird just says it can't login to my account to pickup the mail. So does anybody know how I can add the password to my account?

I had a brainwave and tried to send a message rather than retrieve and it forced the password reset option so all solved now. Thanks anyway

In the passwords area, highlight the entire row of incoming server and outgoing server and delete both rows. Then close TB, restart and your account should then prompt to enter the password.
Thanks David, that was my intention and was why i deleted the rows to force it to ask me. However it just gives a POP3 timed out message rather than asking me for a password. Any ideas?
I would recheck all account settings. The timeout could be for other reasons.
