I have google set as my homepage and cursor starts at the address bar when opening firefox instead of the google search box in the middle like it always did.

OOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooh, I like that one. ;) Fewer keystrokes. I usually add the Home button on the toolbar, so that's a good option. Next time it gets messed up, can you leave that work around in place? Thanks.

As of a few hours ago, the new plan is to revert to the previous behavior sooner rather than later. The target release date for version 105.0.1 is October 4th.

October 4th can't come soon enough. This change is driving me absolutely insane. Thanks for the update!!

I'm going to edge. I expect crap from microsoft, so if I get crap, I may as well get if from the experts.
