How to sync all Netzero email folders?

My Netzero emails don't all sync up, such as sent messages and drafts.

It appears that only drafts and sent mails made on the website can be seen on the website, and only those made in Thunderbird can be seen in Thunderbird.

I've heard of a manual way to move things around, but which seems overly complicated to me. I don't trust I would manage to do it correctly even once, let alone on a continual basis. Too many opportunities to mess up, and I certainly would.

I need it to be about as simple as it is for my other email accounts.

I'd like to know how to make Thunderbird automatically keep all the folders on my Netzero accounts synced up, so that all my sent mails and drafts are available from both the website and in Thunderbird.

From your description, it seems your Thunderbird setup is using POP. If you to see all activity with Thunderbird, then set up an IMAP account to replace the POP account.

Okay, I guess my Netzero accounts may be using POP? I guess switching them to IMAP may fix the problem, but I don't know how to do that. Can you give me instructions for setting my Netzero accounts to IMAP?

Create a new account, specifying IMAP. incoming server is imap.netzero.com, port 993, SSL, and outgoing is smtp.netzero.com, port 465, SSL. Once it is working okay, you can delete the POP account.

After setting up a new copy of one of my accounts as IMAP that way, not much seems to happen. When I look in activity manager, I get messages saying Failed to connect to server imap.netzero.com. In case it may help, I tried changing the domain to .net, like the POP ones are, and I got a similar message, Failed to connect to server imap.netzero.net.

Sorry, I had seen a few articles that indicated IMAP was available with Netzero. Apparently not. All they offer is POP.

That's okay. Hopefully someone else will come along with the solution.

I checked the Netzero website; all they offer is POP.

Okay, interesting info, I guess. Nevertheless, I expect someone has found a way to make Thunderbird and Netzero sync properly, and I hope they find this thread, and leave some instructions.
