I am guessing this is a settings issue, but I cannot find a solution. I cannot see the social sharing icons on my website when in Firefox on my Mac. I can see them in Safari. What's the deal?

Thanks,

Theresa

A link to the site would speed things up...

When such Social Media buttons aren't visible then they are usually blocked by Enhanced Tracking Protection.

Firefox shows a purple shield instead of a gray shield at the left end of the location/address bar in case Enhanced Tracking Protection is blocking content.

  • click the shield icon for more detail and possibly disable the protection

You can check the Web Console for relevant-looking messages about blocked content.

I have enhanced tracking turned off and standard protection selected in settings. No change. Any other thoughts?

Altering Smartblock to false also has no impact.

Did you click the shield icon on the location bar ?

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block content (Adblock Plus, NoScript, DuckDuckGo PE, Disconnect, Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block content.

BTW, links to the site were in the initial screenshot. Here is the link - https://nvic-org.w3.wfdev.net/news-media-reports

It works for me. (testing url https://nvic-org.w3.wfdev.net/news-media-reports)

Try to press command + alt + i and examine Console and Network tabs.

First - forgot to say thank you for your help.

Second - I have checked for any blocking - not seeing any. I don't use a lot of extensions and the ones I do use are up to date.

Third - examined network tabs and this is the error found for Add to Any - Partitioned cookie or storage access was provided to “https://static.addtoany.com/menu/sm.24.html#type=core&event=load” because it is loaded in the third-party context and dynamic state partitioning is enabled.

I don't know what it means or how to correct...advice?

You can check for issues with Total Cookie Protection.

You can try to add a cookie allow exception for that origin (protocol and hostname).
