For the last month or so, when I open Thunderbird the columns are often resized and the headings don't match the content (see example). If I close and reopen Thunderbird, this formatting goes away, but if I reopen it at some later point it is back.

a) When it happens, check Error Console for errors (ctrl+shift+J)

b) With Thunderbird not running, start multiple times in troubleshoot mode*. Is the problem reliably gone?
