I have reinstalled Thunderbird 3 times in past 3 months (just 2 days ago) but still my drafts keep disappearing or the heading (tittle) is empty. Why? And how do I get my drafts back? I have tried "saving" to the draft folder, but the emails disappear or the heading is empty. There is a good deal of work in the emails that I would love to get back. I am running the latest Thunderbird and on Windows 10/11 and everything is up to date. How do I fix this and get my work back. Thank you for your help. Richard

Is your account IMAP or POP? Do you have an antivirus product? What is it?

At what point to drafts disappear? does right clicking the folder and selecting properties and then the repair button do anything?

Thank you!!!

I never knew about the repair button. Clicking on the button the system took a minute or so and I checked the draft folder and my missing email/files were there. I will have to remember that repair button.

Again, thank you.

You might also want to look at your antivirus product and exclude it from scanning in the profile folder when you are using Thunderbird. it is this that has historically caused most of the apparent corruption and data loss through file activity being interrupted with scans.
