I have lost my password for my Thunderbird account. I have access to my Comcast.net through Xfinity and using that I was able to renew my password for my Mozilla account. I am still unable to access my emails through my (preferred) Thunderbird client. How can I recover my password for my Thunderbird application?

Passwords are the responsibility of the user and not of Thunderbird. Is this password the one that is entered before you can access the program - or is this password the one needed to access her email accounts?

You're asking the wrong thing and in the wrong place then.

It isn't clear what you mean by your "Thunderbird account", but if you reset the password for your mail account, which only you, not Thunderbird, can do, all you have to do now is tell Thunderbird to use the new password when it asks for a password the next time it tries to connect to the server to access your mail account there.
