Hello Rodney.

I've seen other users with a similar problem. I recommended them to go into Tools > Options > Security and in the passwords sections click "Exceptions", and make sure that the site in question isn't listed.

There were a few cases where it wasn't listed and it would still not ask to save the password. In those cases, reinstalling Firefox worked for them. I know it's not exactly an easy fix, or an obvious fix, at least, but if it works, you can try it if you want.

Make sure that the site is not in the exception: Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: Exceptions

nothing is in Exceptions. Removed and reinstalled FF still no remember password.

You may be having a problem with some extension or plugin that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

disabled all add ons. My problem is a site that I changed user and password FF will not remember. I tried a new site and it did remember. my problem may be with that site. Thanks.

Did you try the bookmarklet?

It is possible that the site is now using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving the password. You can check that in the page source (View > Page Source) or via View Selection Source in the right-click context menu if you select the input fields in that form with the mouse.

Can you post a link?

this is a PayPal account. https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_login-run

I have 2 accounts they require different email address's. Both worked fine but when I changed email address on one FF not remembering the other is working.

PayPal uses autocomplete=off So you need to use the bookmarklet before submitting the log in form if you want to save a new password in Firefox.
