I have an older pc, with 600Mhz processor, 130MB memory, and running win2000 sp4 I want the version of Firefox that uses the least processor and memory resources, but is stable and functional with most websites.

You should be able to use the latest Firefox 3.6.8 version on your computer.

Yeah, that's the one that uses the most resources. Any chance I can get a real answer to the question?

Based upon my experience with a similar (550MHz) processor and 768MB of RAM on W2K SP4, Firefox 2.0.0.20 is the last version that works efficiently on an old PC like that; but many websites are not allowing that old version access any more. IMO, any 3.0+ version is going to be slow.

Try using K-Meleon - same source code as Firefox, and it is made specifically for Windows operating systems. http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/download.php
