Using FF 3.6.13 to access You Tube cannot play Videos Black Screen - 'Reads An Error occurred pleas try later.'

I have the same problem while using Windows, Why? This has all started since upgrading to 3.6.13 all was fine before.

In addition Firefox locks up and crashes my computer - have to reboot not a soft reboot but a hard one.

I do hope you can help to resolve this issue soon. Merry Christmas.

Your More system details list shows three Flash plugins.
Try to only keep the Flash 10.1 r102 version and remove or disable the others (Tools > Add-ons > Plugins)

  1. Shockwave Flash 10.1 r999. Gnash 0.8.7, the GNU SWF Player.
  2. Shockwave Flash 9.0 r999
  3. Shockwave Flash 10.1 r102

Sorry but this suggestion did not help

I have diabled the following

  1. Shockwave Flash 10.1 r999. Gnash 0.8.7, the GNU SWF Player.
  2. Shockwave Flash 9.0 r999

With no improvement whatsoever - further more i went as far as to disabling all three, still no access to the BBC iplayer or You Tube.

The only thing that i have not done is to reboot the system, i will do that next.

If this makes any difference i will advise you. Thanks.

OK. I have now rebooted the system but still no improvement in the browser.

Be advised that both You Tube and the BBC now do not display any error messages since the changes.

All we now see is a Blank, Black Screen.

Do you still have Shockwave Flash 10.1 r102 enabled in Tools > Add-ons > Plugins?

Do you see the Flash player on the about:plugins page?

Does the Adobe Flash test page work: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ ?

Yes it is installed (Shockwave Flash 10.1 r102)

No this dos not play the flash logo as in Windows - just a static page listing Flash ver for different O/S
