I have a new laptop, with Firefox 3.6.13. When I go to HOME, an extra, blank page, with 'Untitled' tab opes also.
I installed Firefox 3.6.13 on a new laptop. Whenever I hit the Home icon, I go to the homepage, and an extra, blank page opens also. The extra page has an 'Untitled' tab. This doesn't happen with my desktop, also running 3.6.13, or with IE. This doesn't happen with other pages. If I hit the HOME icon repeatedly, an extra page opens for each entry.

Make sure that there is nothing like a pipe (|) symbol appended to the home page setting in Tools > Options > General > Startup: Home page

■ to reset the home page (and reduce it to a single page if required)
- Tools -> Options -> General -> startup = and set the options / pages required. There are other methods of achieving this. See

- How to set the home page
You are able to customise Firefox startup behaviour, and set what it uses as a home page or home page tabs. It appears you have acquired an extra page that you do not now require. Note if editing this manually that the 'pipe' separator '|' is used between entries.
