I deleted the Incredimail toolbar in Add and Remove Programs but it is still there. Please help.
I do not want the Incredimail Toolbar and Start Up page as I prefer Firefox, I searched for the method of removing it and was told to remove it via the Delete or Alter Programs from the Start menu. I did this and although it has disappeared from there, it is still on my desktop every time I open Firefox.

Tools | Add-ons | Extensions. Remove it from there.
Then in the location bar, type: about:config and hit Enter.
- In the filter at the top, type keyword.URL
- Double click it and replace the current setting with http://www.google.com/search?q= (it has to be entered exactly as you see it written here)
Since it's a URL, you can right click it and choose "Copy Link Location" to copy it to the Windows clipboard. Saves you having to type it when you go to change the setting. Close Firefox via File | Exit.
Then go to How to set the home page to reset it to whatever you want.
P.S. Sorry it took so long to respond to your question.

Thank you for the information, I will follow the instructions. Respnse time was not a problem as the pc reached its use-by date shortly afterwards but will keep your reply for the new one.
Windows XP will be supported until December 2014. No need to invest in a new machine just yet. ;)
I meant that my pc keeps refusing to work. Each time it goes for repairs, as soon as it gets to its destination, it works perfectly then stops after a few days at home - I think it just enjoys the car trip! Time for a new one.
OK. But could you click the "Solved", or "Helpful" button which will mark the thread either way.
Thanks.
I found incredimail SO ANNOYING and its attached to my FREE Norton TRIAL toolbar , and HUGE program that I left installed when trail was over.... When I deleted Norton ..Incredi mail went by bye too!!! Norton you sneaky guys.... shame shame
I agree, I no longer have the toolbar but still have an Incredimail staer0up page, which I don't want. I just have to live with it I guess.
Brilliant - thanks Xircal
