When I start Firefox, it shows an empty white page. All the toolbars are displayed/loaded but in the middle, NO page, no matter what I type at the url.

I downloaded the file: yahoo_firefox_4.0-rc2_setup_us.exe from your site. After installing and starting firefox, all the toolbards and menus where loaded except for the web page. Whatever I try to write at the url, it displays an empty white page. Previous versions of firefox used to work and I can connect to the internet by using internet Explorer

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

I also thought that the problem was with some internet settings, but I didn't know where to look. I thought that it had to do with the settings of the Firefox, but it turned out that it was the firewall. At first I made some changes to the Windows firewall but that didn't work and I rembered that when I had a similar problem with another program I was adviced to change the firewall settings of my Anti-Virus.

After changing the firewall of my Anti-Virus, problem solved. Thank you for your very fast response and solution.
