Do not bother trying it if you are unsure. It is a version that has not finished full testing, it may include additional nrw features, but with a slight risk of problems. See

so you are saying its just another beta format of firefox and shouldn't be played with by newbies to firefox? Thanks

say where did the feedback button go? I used it quite often, have it on my one apple but not my other. not even in customize. now its in tools menu. why?

It is an a version in an earlier stage of testing. You are more likely to have to deal with problems such as incompatible add-ons, or possibly see features you are not familiar with. Most newbies would possibly consider the Release version or the Beta a better choice, unless any particular new feature is of specific interest.

I would not want to put anyone off trying the Aurora channel, but you seemed to have already expressed reservations about cluttering your hard drive unnecessarily.

The version I am using has feedback under :

  • Firefox button -> Help -> submit feedback

You can probably also use the direct link as long as you are using Firefox 4 or above http://input.mozilla.com/en-US/feedback <-- clickable link ---

Hello and thanks for all your help. On my laptop I have the feedback button on the upper right, but on my Imac I dont have one and had to go to TOOLS/FEEDBACK etc. Why the difference I am just wondering.

Some installs may well have included the feedback button, and such a feature will carry forward to future installs, it is easy to add if required:

  • Right click (or Mac equivalent) an an empty area of a toolbar and choose customise/customize
drag the feedback button to a new location on the toolbar, or from the window of icons
  • alternatively use Firefox Button -> Options -> Toolbar layout
  • see also how do i customize the toolbars?

P.S.
Please click the Solved It button next to the answer that solved your Firefox support issue, it appears when you are logged in, so this thread gets marked as Solved to help other users who may have this same problem.

Strangely enough I dont see the feedback button to customize my imac. See feedback but its all these weird symbols not a button like last previous beta. no idea what these weird symbols mean. thought I stretched out my browser to big to see the button but nothing. OH well I can still send feedback just differently per machine.

thanks

Not sure I will see exactly the same on a PC, as you will do on a Mac; on my PC the feedback button is just represented by the text Feedback When dragged onto a toolbar it becomes a button with that name and includes an arrowhead indicating a drop-down menu is present.
