Why did you have to change the layout of Firefox?

I would like to know why you have gone and changed the layout of Firefox?

I am still on Fx 3.6.18 because quite frankly 5.0.1 looks horrible.

Why did you have to change everything and move things around. Why couldn't you have given us the same layout as 3.6.18 but with these new upgrades.

I will never download Fx5. 3.6 was perfect.

Also how can I contact Fx without upgrading?

Firefox 3.6.19 is available here.

As for the warning, you can't choose who can post in threads that you start. James offered a suggestion to customize the toolbars, by linking that support article. Almost everyone who helps users here is a volunteer, especially now in the wee hours of a Sunday morning (USA), so please treat us a little nicer. Separate your anger with the changes in Firefox, from the people who are here to help you. Most of us don't like the changes either, but we change what we don't like by customizing the interface.

You do understand that it takes only a few minutes to use Customize to change the toolbar icons around as you like and to move tab bar back to bottom and such?

You can't search and find the answer for yourself? Been asked about a few hundred times.

I never had to do that garbage with the perfect 3.6.18.

Moderator warning - the troll will be dealt with, but you need to watch how you talk to the volunteer helpers here.

"Garbage" or not, Firefox 5 isn't setup the same as Firefox 3.6 and earlier versions of Firefox were. If you want the Toolbar area to look the same as with Firefox 3.6 you need to Customize the Toolbars to make it how you think it should appear.

This article is entitled for Firefox 4, because that is when the changes were hade to the interface.

Tell me whose bright idea was it to change Fx's layout to that horrendous layout that is used in 5.

I have seen 5. It looks horrible. It looks just like internet explorer 6.

What was wrong with 3.6's layout?

I will be sticking to 3.6 thank you very much. And who can I complain to?

Can you still download 3.6? It is so I can put it on my dad's laptop.

As for the warning. That is not fair. I am the one being trolled and I get a warning! What?

How can I contact Fx on 3.6.18? And whose bright idea was it to change the layout?

Sorry the old Feedback page - Hendrix - used with older versions of Firefox was disabled near the end of 2010.

In Firefox 4+ versions there's a Help > Submit Feedback... menu item which leads here: http://input.mozilla.com/en-US/feedback
But you can't submit feedback there with an older version of Firefox, currently you need Firefox 5.0 or higher.

The decision to change the GUI was made by Mozilla collectively, not by a small group of developers or by one person. If you put your efforts toward customizing Firefox to suit your tastes, it would be a lot more productive than trying to find out who to blame and where to complain about the changes made to Firefox. Geez dude, it ain't the end of the world. It's only a web browser, which can be easily modified to make it look like you thing it should look.

Those m***** a Mozilla need to swing for this. Just what the h*** where they thinking? "Oh let's make it look like this hideous Chrome and also look like IE6."

I am not losing all my add-ons, plug-in's, tabs and persona's just because the m***** at Mozilla thought that looking like the c*** Chrome was a good idea.

Also I should not be forced to go through all that customization garbage because of them and still not have tabs and other stuff because of them.

Like I said once 3.6 in no longer viable it is bye-bye Firefox and hello IE8 or 9 with TABS, back and forward buttons, progress bar the lot.

My dad has Fx 5 on his Laptop so I can leave feedback through that.

Not a solution, just my take on this.

You may not realize it but to have your Firefox 3.6.* looking like your image you would have had to do at least some Customizing anyways and forgot about this.

Again it only takes a brief moment as you could have had Firefox 5.0 looking like 3.6.* in less time then it took you to do your OP. Heck the Firefox 8.0a1 nightly I am testing on Linux still looks much like Firefox 3.0 did with little customizing effort.

Flagged your attack post so other mods are aware of you also.
