How can I add old bookmarks from another computer to the ones I have on my new computer?

My old computer crashed; and was replaced with a new one running Windows 7. I had saved my bookmarks, but couldn't find the thumb drive where they were saved, so began using Firefox on my new computer. Now I have bookmarks saved onto my new computer, but want to upload and merge my old bookmarks. I've only found a way to restore bookmarks that will complete wipe out the new ones. Short of writing down all the new ones and adding them back after restoring the old ones, is there any other way to merge the two?

Export your current Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file before restoring your old bookmarks.

The restoration process will replace your current bookmarks; importing the HTML file will append extensions bookmarks.
