I'm trying to position to a comment on a WordPress blog with a URL that ends "#location." Firefox positions within the document higher than it should. If I just put my cursor in the Address bar and press Enter, it positions correctly. Refresh puts it wrong again. I presume that the problem is Javascript on the page inserting things among the comments that Firefox doesn't take into account (probably the Ajax Edit Comments plug-in); however, both Internet Explorer and Google Chrome always position correctly.

This can also happen if there are images on the page that do not have the dimensions specified.

A good place to ask advice about web development is at the MozillaZine "Web Development/Standards Evangelism" forum.

The helpers at that forum are more knowledgeable about web development issues.
You need to register at the MozillaZine forum site in order to post at that forum.
