For example, if I type in oncology nutrition, newburgh ny and i go to the first site listed and read, when i backpage, I sometimes get a blank page or a previous search and then I need to retype in oncology nutrition, newburgh ny. Very time consuming. This is a new problem. I have always been able to do searches with back paging. That way I can read many links in one search as they are purple if I visited them.

thanks.

Hello,

I assume this is a google search?

The behaviour you describe is not standard Firefox behaviour so something must be going wrong on your copy of Firefox.

I notice that you are using Firefox v23 which is an older version. To get the latest security updates and fixes please install v24. This may also solve your search problem. See here:

Update Firefox to the latest release

Once you are using v24 check again and see if the issue is fixed. If not then I suggest using Firefox's Safe Mode to test whether an add-on or setting is causing the problem. Follow the instructions here:

Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode

If the problem does not occur in safe mode then continue following the instructions in that article to troubleshoot and identify the culprit.

If the problem does occur in safe mode then I suggest doing a Firefox Reset. This will return Firefox to its default settings. Your personal data (bookmarks etc) will be saved but you will need to reinstall your add-ons.

Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

I hope this helps. Let me know if not.

Hello JohnnieGee,

If you also have the same problem v24 then I suggest using Safe Mode to troubleshoot the problem. If that doesn't work then try doing a Firefox reset.

See my answer above.

Thanks

When you suggest using Safe Mode are you wanting me to start my pc in Safe Mode or is there a Firefox Safe Mode?
