I registered with bing.com for the rewards whenever I do a search. Now I am not able to sign in to bing on my account. I did have a problem on Firefox registering on bing.com but was finally able to do it after several tries. Why won't it let me sign into my bing.com account to do a search and get credit for the search?

What happens when you try to log in? Is the log-in box missing? Is the web site not excepting you? Do you get an error message?

I followed the above instructions and still cannot log into my bing.com account. The page comes up, I click on sign in (upper right corner) and nothing. I can log in from IE, I prefer to use Firefox, but if I cannot sign in from Firefox, I will just use IE when I wish to do a search.

Check your settings for pop-up blockers. Firefox Options > Content. Look for the Exemptions button. Also, do you have any add-on pop-up blockers? When is the last time you scanned the computer for virus and mal-ware?

===================

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
