New Mozilla Firefox Version 26.0/Slow Downloads Problems
Since the new version of Mozilla Firefox 26.0 is updated on my PC, there are only very slow downloads possible and the downloads are not downloading with the whole speed like before. For example each download is downloading with only 20 % from the whole downloading speed. If I have installed firefox version 25.0 again, then eveything worked fine with firefox. But since firefox has updated upto version 26.0 back again, all downloads are very slow then again. Can you fix this downloading problem ?

Hello pemigabo123,
Have a look at the articles Quick fixes if your Firefox slows down and Seeing very slow download rates. They should provide a solution to your issue.
I hope that helps
Have a nice day
Thanks for the response. But I have noticed a strange phenomenon combined with firefox 26.0. When I am still updating some software on my PC, the downloading speed was up to 100 % when firefox was closed and not in use. But when I am starting firefox 26.0, my other download manager can only download with nearly up to 20 %. First I have installed reagain firefox 25.0 and 24.0 and with these earlier versions everything has worked fine. But then firefox has updated automatically firefox 26.0 and then the downloading speed has been regulated down to nearly down to 20 %. Deleting the cache or the cookies bring no successful results. I hope that this download-speed problem in firefox 26.0 is fixed soon, because my DSL-speed is lower than the highest speed and to have only up to 20 % from my usual download-speed is too low at all.

Hello,
Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that turns off some settings and disables most add-ons (extensions and themes).
(If you're using an added theme, switch to the Default theme.)
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu by clicking on the Restart with Add-ons Disabled... menu item:
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
- On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
- On Mac: Hold the option key while starting Firefox.
- On Linux: Quit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox -safe-mode
(you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"
If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.
To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.
When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help others with the same problem.
Thank you.
I do not think that this is the solution of the problem with Mozilla Firefox 26.0 and for the download problems with very slow downloads.
I reinstalled several times now Firefox 25.0 and with this version the downloads could be downloaded with the usual download-speed. And when Firefox 26.0 is updated and for example a few days in progress, then the downloads are only used with very slow download-speed. I could not imagine that Firefox 26.0 is for using it with slow downloads (?).

Start Firefox in Safe Mode does not solve problems, it helps to show what the problem is. If you use safe mode, and the problem is still there, or not, this gives us information we can use to find the real problem.
