What is THE Version of FireFox *AT* the Mozilla Download Site?
I don't want to know what version of FireFox I have. I do not want to install certain versions of FireFox, if they have problems associated with them.
(1) Please give the version number that is currently (05/06/2014) available at the official Mozilla download site.
(2) Please explain why it continues not to be displayed at the download site.
Thanks!

Hi jhughey, Tyler doesn't actually know what version you have, but your Firefox provides this information to websites about itself:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:25.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/25.0
That's called the user agent string and sites use it for statistical purposes and sometimes to tailor pages to your browser (e.g., desktop, mobile, Windows, Mac, IE, not IE, etc.).

The current version is 29, you have 25 and need to update imemdiately
Thank you, Tyler!
BTW. How did you determine my personal version number?
Your User Agent.

I see the download filename has the version number. As much as I have reinstalled FireFox, I should have known this!
Thanks again!
Ahhh. .. yes! Forgot about that.
Thank you jsher!
I just wanted to add that upgrading Firefox from 25 to version 29 has solved an obscuring black screen effect with Google Maps. Fantastic!
