Thunderbird has been deleting my old emails. How can I stop that?

Thunderbird keep deleting my old emails and I cannot find a way to stop that. For example, it will tell me say three of my emails from May 30, 2014 are just deleted. I cannot find the deleted emails in any folders. Those deleted emails include both read and unread emails.

Can anyone help me on that?
