Need to "save all" attached JPGs -- button has disappeared??
I often receive e-mails that contain several JPG pictures. Until recently, there was a "Save all" button at the lower right that would enable me to save all the JPGs to the same folder. Now it has disappeared -- and dropping back to an earlier version of Thunderbird did not bring it back!
What happened? I want my "Save All" button back. Did something come along and change one of my configurations?

You can try to start Thunderbird in safe mode and see if that makes any difference. https://support.mozilla.org/kb/safe-mode-thunderbird
I'm beginning to crack the problem -- It has to do with the "View attachments inline" checkbox on the View menu, except that that checkbox does not take effect immediately. Apparently the cure is to uncheck it and restart Thunderbird.
It's not even that simple. Apparently, "Display Attachments Inline" is not *supposed* to make the Save All button disappear... and now it doesn't.
Checking it and unchecking it a few times seems to have put Thunderbird back into its right mind, and the correct behavior persists after upgrading to the latest version.
So the support question is: Under what circumstances, if any, is the "Save All" button supposed to disappear even though the message being displayed has multiple JPEG attachments?
