How to convince thunderbird that something is NOT spam?
I get email from several reputable companies that are ALWAYS sent to my spam folder. I WANT TO HEAR FROM THESE FIRMS! How do I convince Thunderbird that the email is NOT spam? I have put the firms in my addressbook and it STILL goes to spam! There is a "junk " button, but not a "not spam" button!

That is because Thunderbird does not mark messages as Spam. It does not use the word Spam or create Spam folders. It uses Junk controls and marks messages as Junk.
Your provider or your antivirus might use the word Spam..
"Spam" is the word that _I_ use. How do I solve the problem? It happens with a number of businesses, all responding to gmail addresses.
I think I told you. Fix your antivirus software or your providers Spam filter. It is NOT a Thunderbird problem!
I get the message 'Thunderbird thinks this message is spam'. If that's not a Thunderbird message I'd like to know what is!
Thunderbird will give the message that it think a message is a SCAM. The original question was about Spam. The scam filter is either on or off. You cannot adjust it's settings.
