Pause before sending mail
My husband and I have identical Thunderbird installations on identical Windows 7 machines, and for years we have been using 'QuoteAndComposeManager version 0.4.1. This allows us to set a 'pause' of 20 seconds between the time we click on Send and the email actually gets sent (it's amazing how many errors you can find in 20 seconds). This feature is still working fine on my machine, but on his it has been disabled with the message that it is incompatible with Thunderbird 60.3.0.
Two questions here: My update history shows that I am set for automatic updates, but the last one was to version 52.9.1 on 16 July 2018. This probably explains why I can still use the QandCManager, but why are we getting updates at different times?
More importantly, is there some other add-on that we can use to get this time-delay option? I have gone to the original developer's website but he does not seem to have a later version.
Many thanks.

I just tried the delay feature (a very useful one) here in TB 60.3/W10 and it works properly. Open Tools/Options/Advanced/General/Config. editor and double-click the preference extensions.strictCompatibility to false, OK to close Options.
Quote & Compose Manager should now work.
Updates to TB 60 began this week and are being deployed incrementally.

You'll want to post this to the Thunderbird forum as this is for the Browser firefox threads. But here's something else to try before sending it out save it to drafts and then when your ready to sent look it over before sending it. This is safer and most likely to see who your sending it to or not to first.
Version 60 breaks almost all add ons. I would stay on version 52.9.1 for now. It is so bad they turned off auto updates and that is why you did not update yet. Install 52.9 on the other computer and stay there.

No need to post a duplicate thread as this thread was moved to Thunderbird section.
