I have TBird version: 128.6.1 esr (64 bit).

I have several accounts and I want to back up just one of them. However, they all use the same folder (.../.thunderbird/<name>.default) for storage so Export only wants to store this folder. Drilling down using "Browse", I see that below that are all the folders stored as ".../.thunderbird/<name>.default/Mail/<My account>". If I just copy this folder, can I restore this account in the future if I copy it back to this location? I want to retain the contents as the account is going to be closed and removed from its server. Thank you.

This TB installation is used exclusively as a RSS feed reader, so no email accounts configured.

In the console I get the message bursts below. Is there anything I can do to debug/analyze this? I have no idea which RSS feed is causing these messages and for what reason.

I am trying to send 10 emails in total, one per day, according to the date and time in the CSV/Excel file. However, it is not automatically sending them according to the sheet. Either it is not reading from the sheet or there is some other issue. e.g., Column A: To (1@test.com, 2@test.com, 3@test.com,...) Column B: Date (2025-02-15 13:00, 2025-03-15 13:00, 2025-04-15 13:00,...) Column C: Subject (Test Subject A, Test Subject B, Test Subject C,...) So on Then I'm using Mail Merge and Send Later but not getting the automated result.

Result Expected: Enter everything in the Excel file and run it via Mail Merge/ Send Later or any other Add-on to achieve this.

Any help in this will be much appriciated.

I have a PNG file of my email signature. I know I can click INSERT > LINK and then enter my website address on the IMAGE PROPERTIES page so that the recipients can click the logo to go to my site. Every time I wish to do this, along with adding the web address, I also have to go to the additional screen that asks for ALTERNATE TEXT, TOOLTIP etc. Is there a way to save all this information as default so it doesn't need to be manually entered every time? Thanks...

Whenever I receive a reply to an email I've sent, the reply I receive from the sender is addressed to a different email address than the one I used to send it. It's a legitimate address, just not the one I'd like to use. I think it's buried somewhere in account settings, but I have not been able to find it. Thanks, Peter

Is the filter log file accessible directly anywhere? It'd be useful to use a text editor app in order to use a different font, reverse the display order and use text search tools etc. Sure I could copy/paste into a text editor each time but that's a bit laborious each time the log changes.

Since I updated with yours i am receiving emails but as soon as i want to open them it freezes so basically I cant read or send emails without it crashing I have a windows 11 laptop

I had to restore my PC and thunderbird. Can't figure out, ideas appreciated

 1. I had a personal picture in the message pane on start up, it wasn't a web page.,

 2. incoming email was one line, if I remember it just showed the subject, if I wanted the who I could just open it.

Hi, I have a persistent but intermittent problem sending emails. When an email decides it is not going to go a pop up appears and it says:

Sending the message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to Outgoing server SMTP (failed). The server maybe unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify your outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again.

Can you please advise how to resolve this issue?

I have Settings > General alert notification to show Message Preview Text, Subject and Sender, but the alerts never show the Message Preview. They do show "[my-email] received 1 new message" as a title (which is somewhat self-evident and superflous), [subject] from [Sender]. I've switched between System and non-System notifications but there is no difference.

This is TB 128.6.1esr on Windows.

I have recently begun receiving the following error message from Thunderbird: "Server imap.earthlink.net has disconnected. The server may have gone down or there may be a network problem". It doesn't happen constantly, but at least half the time when reading or moving messages to a different folder or when deleted messages from trash. Examining Earthlink directly from a browser shows that the action issued under Thunderbird has occasionally not been executed. Earthlink Support says everything is OK with them. (I suspect a timing issue, but do not know how to proceed.)

What's the meaning of crossed repeat icon for event in Thunderbird Calendar? What it depends on? Have discovered it's a status icon which appears when you set repetition for your event. In my particular case it's crossed for event which is an invitation for me to join ms teams meeting.

hello i have had a problem with thunderbird for a few weeks now.

indexing/updating messages takes a VERY long time.

i use email on WP.PL

i have limited synchronization to 1 year back. despite this, the program freezes a lot when updating emails.

it is impossible to use it during this time. after clicking you have to wait a dozen or so seconds for a reaction.

i have a 1 gigabit connection. despite this, downloading each message takes a few dozen seconds.

i tried reinstalling the program, it did not work.

where to look for the problem?

Bonjour, Lors de l'envoi d'un e-mail, le message est bien envoyé mais n'est pas enregistré dans les éléments envoyés. Le message suivant s'affiche : le certificat imap.orange ne provient pas d'une source sûre. J'avais modifié moi-même le certificat. Comment procéder pour résoudre le problème.
