I'm using Win 10. My TB is ver. 68.0. I was happily using the "Insert" menu to generate alphabet letters specific to my native language. After a very recent crash and the resulting need to reinstall the OS and all my apps including the latest version of TB, I see to my surprise that I cannot any longer insert the alphabet letter that I was able to before reinstallation of TB 68.0. I have looked at the FAQs to see if anyone else has same problem, and I have tried to press Shift and Insert as suggested by someone to see if this would bring the needed result. So, why is this very convenient Insert function no longer available? Is there a way in which I can insert the alphabet letters myself in the TB software (other than copy and paste)?? Grateful for a useful response, thanks.

I see the same bug in TB 69b4: Insert/Characters & Symbols does not insert anything, and the Insert window doesn't even appear again until the Write window is restarted. Same result in safe mode. I haven't seen a bugzilla report for this yet, but in the meantime, there are a couple of workarounds.

With Win 10, Winkey+. (period) brings up the emoji and character/symbol menu that works in TB. Also, you can use Insert/HTML and apply HTML name codes for special characters, e.g. & acirc ; (remove spaces) for â.

Thank you very much for your help with my problem of the inactive "insert" option. The TB 68.1 release did the trick! Appreciate the help.
