How can I delete prior years messages other than by deleting one by one?
I want to be able to delete many messages at once. I do not know if there is a way I can delete all messages from a specific year like delete all 2016.

Options depending upon what you want to do.
1.
- Select folder
- Sort by Date
- Click on first email you want to delete
- Press and hold down 'Shift' key and click on the last email you want to delete.
- all emails in between will become highlighted and show as x number of conversations.
- click on 'Delete'.

- Menu app icon > Find > Search Messages
- select checkbox 'Search Subfolders'
Search for messages in:
- To search on an entire mail account choose the mail account name - this will include all the folders or select folder on the mail account.
- select 'Match all of the following'
- 'Date' and 'is before' and enter a date eg: 01/01/2017
- click on small + sign to get another line
- 'Date' and 'is after' and enter a date eg: 31/12/2015
- click on 'Search'
List is shown.
- Double Check all is correct. only dates from 2016 should be listed
- Click on first in list.
- Select key 'Ctrl' + 'A'
All get highlighted.
- Click on 'Delete'
