Mailto in Adobe DC will not open Thunderbird
I set up a new PC for a new employee 2 months ago. I tested all functions including the Mailto button in Adobe PDF's. All was working well. Last week something changed and the Mailto button would not open Thunderbird. I checked the registry and everything was correct. I verified Mailto protocol was set to use Thunderbird. I uninstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird. Still won't work. I tried switching to Outlook and changed all settings accordingly. Still won't work. I wiped the computer and reinstalled software. Still won't work. I wiped the computer again and installed older versions of the software. Still won't work.
Please help.... Thank you

If you install 32-bit versions of Adobe and TB, it might work better. There is no significant advantage to running TB 64-bit over 32-bit, and I suspect the same is true with Adobe.

Was TB updated at the time it stopped working? Is Adobe 32-bit or 64-bit? Same for TB, since if an app is 32-bit, the mail app must also be 32 bit for MAPI connections like this.
Assuming the bit compatibility is resolved, sometimes this works: download and run the correct 91.1.2 installer, choose Advanced setup, set TB as default, don't run TB at the end, then restart the computer (important). Check if mailto from Adobe works.
Both are 64 bit. I have tried all of the above and it still won't work. The mailto button in the PDF works just fine on 8 other computers in the office. I have now tried setting up a new computer and again with the same problem. I am not sure how to proceed other than to find a new email program.

Thanks for the help! 32-bit works!
