PDF that is protected from printing prints in Thunderbird

Running Thunderbird 102.2.2 on Windows 10. A pdf file created in Acrobat 11 has been protected from printing with a password. Other versions of Acrobat, Chrome and Edge all confirm that it is protected. Double click on the attached file in Thunderbird allows printing. How can I prevent Thunderbird from ignoring protection (on my customer's computer)? rickc3

You point to Acrobat and Chrome and Chrome (Edge is just chrome with a coat of paint). Have you tried it with Firefox? My understanding is Thunderbird's implementation just uses the Firefox code. So your issue may be bigger than you think.

Sorry but I have no password protected PDF files to even begin to try it myself.
