I made a donation without realising that my Imac is outdated and I cannot use Thunderbird. My operating system is OSX 10.11.6. Am I able to get a refund or is there another version that I can use?

TB 45 will run on OS X 10.11:

but it might not support the requirements of your mail provider (security, authentication etc.).

Actually the old Thunderbird 78.14.0 was the last to still support the old EOL macOS 10.9, 10.11, 10.11 as later Thunderbird Releases has required macOS 10.12 or later.
