How to sync Thunderbird Calander and BT Mail Calander

more options

Hi. Having become frustrated with BT mail I recently installed Thunderbird on two laptops. One laptop runs on Window 11 and the other Linux Mint 21.3 Virginia. If possible I would like to link the Thunderbird calendar on the two machines. I have tried to Google the subject but any discussion/guidance on the issue was beyond my technical competence: which is very limited! From my reading I came to a view (possibly erroneously) that if I maintained the BT calendar I could somehow sync this with the Thunderbird applications on the respective laptops. I would appreciate guidance on whether this is in fact possible and if so is there an idiots guide to doing it? Thank you Tim Ballycarn

Chosen solution

Hi. Thank you so much for your response. Your solution worked perfectly. When I make a diary entry on either of my laptop Thunderbird calendars it is synced to the other and the BT web calendar. Thank you and best wishes. Tim

I can't test this, but here is a suggestion: on the Calendar tab, right-click in the left pane that lists the calendars, New Calendar..., On the Network, enter your email address, enter cal.btinternet.com for the Location, proceed to the next dialog, and see if you can access the BT calendar.
