Hello, my problem is, Thunderbird changes the folder name from e.g. ‘Life’ to ‘INBOX/Videos, why is that so and how can u fix that? I use the original mail apps on my smartphone and then all the folders with the ugly name appear there.

My second problem is that I can't move folders, yes neither Google Mail nor WEB.de has subfolders in the inbox, but if I want to move folders in Thunderbird then it works for some folders and the rest are thrown out of the folder at the latest after restarting the programme. I have a lot of folders and if I have them as subfolders in the inbox, it's much easier.

Have anyone an idea how i can fix preferably both issues? Thanks alot!

I have no idea why TB would change your folder name from "Life" to INBOX/Videos. Can you provide more info on what you were doing before this happened? Were you trying move "Life" folder into INBOX when this happened? It might help to know the "URL" for the folder you are trying to move. Before you move the folder, right click it and choose "properties". Then copy and paste the "Location" string into you next comment. It will look something like this example for folder "test". imap://myGmailAccount@imap.gmail.com/%5BGmail%5D/test
