Did you receive an email from Wayne?

A current problem with Windows users is bitdefender causing crashes. So if you use bitdefender, download from https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/download/esr/ and reinstall.

If that doesn't help or you don't use bitdefender, and you are seeing the crash reporter please visit Help > Troubleshooting Information to find your crash IDs and post them here, as text please.

Thank you Wayne. I use Bitdefender. so I have succesfully followed your link - .....en-US/ download/esr/ and downloaded several times without success! A warning window shows saying that that it is not done via MS, leaving the only option to go to MS. I can't see how to progress, please advise on actual steps from Downloading to reinstall. Thank you, M O'Neill
