the message will not appear in your inbox
HI! I have Thunderbird installed on my computer, it downloads mail from the server. But I noticed recently that a few messages haven't downloaded. I have them marked in the activity monitor as downloaded, but I don't see them in my inbox. Resending the message to email doesn't help. The email program doesn't see it. How do I fix this?

Have you set up filters to redirect some of your email into different folders? Not all mail will go into the Inbox by default, regardless of personalised filters, although it should show them as being 'unread'.
I don't think I configured this, but how can I check if such a redirection exists?

If you don't think you configured this, you almost certainly didn't - but, for future use, you can set up Filters by going to Hamburger icon (top right)/Tools/Message Filters.
That still doesn't sort your problem out, though...
