Thunderbird ask for verification, but there is no where to click, no continue, and Im locked on the page. No way to exit, have to use ctrl>alt>delete to close this page

Don't know if it that could be the problem, but make sure you have cookies and JavaScript enabled in Thunderbird, as described here:

https://support.mozilla.org/kb/automatic-conversion-google-mail-accounts-oauth20
