I can only connect to the internet at 26.4. At least half of the times I try to connect to a site, FireFox comes back almost instantaneously and says it can not find the server. It simply will not wait long enough! It usually will eventually find the server if I ask it try again several times. Is there any setting I can change to force FireFox (3.01) to wait a little longer before it gives up? This is driving me crazy! It's hard enough having waiting for several minutes for sites to come up when I have found the server .

Why are you using a 2 1/2 year old version of Firefox?
Try upgrading to a newer version.
