An update alert appeared on our screen today. We clicked to update, but that was over 2 hours ago. What should we expect for length of time to download the update or what should we do if the update is not downloading correctly?

Depends on your connection to the internet. The file should be about 12 megabytes which is the same size as a couple compressed songs or several hi-resolution photos from a camera.

If it is taking a long time directly downloading Firefox from http://www.firefox.com might be faster.

If you have a problem with updating then download the full version.

  • Download a new copy of the Firefox program: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html
  • Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install.
  • Install the new version that you have downloaded.
