This is difficult to reproduce on command but happens regularly enough that I have found myself shying away from FireFox 4...

I have FireFox 4.01 on Windows 7 Pro 32-bit (SP1). 4 GB ram, 66 GB free on the HD.

On a regular basis, after opening a new tab, FireFox simply freezes. It will not respond to any mouse clicks or keyboard input. It will simply sit there doing nothing until I get frustrated and use Task Manager to kill it. At that point, I can restart FireFox and it almost always recovers the sites that I had open.

so far running in safe mode seems to be preventing the freeze, but how would I go about finding the particular add on/plugin that is causing the problem?
