How do I get the awesome bar to remember my regularly visited sites?

I've read about this awesome bar, but it's not living up to its name! After typing a few letters in, nothing pops up. Furthermore, When I click on the little down arrow between the favorites star and the refresh arrow, nothing happens. I went through the usual path of ensuring that I'm not in private viewing, and my location bar setting is set to "history and bookmarks." Any idea of how I can fix this?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox Profile Folder.

I found that I had to enable this in order to get anything to appear in the dropdown. browser.urlbar.autocomplete.enabled - true This setting is in about:config.

Hey, thanks for the reply! It looks like mine was already set to true, so I'll try something else. Thanks.
