The latest version of firefox keeps crashing. It still crashes in safe mode, and I have recently cleaned out al malware, etc. What can I do to fix this?
Firefox crashes multiple times in one session. This started happening right after I updated Firefox to the latest version. It still crashes, even in safe mode. I have also cleaned out all malware, etc, and it keeps crashing. What can I do about this?

I have removed the default tab, "my searches", and I have chosen a home page. Thank you for your response.

You're welcome!
Thanks for this info which resolved my problem. My FF 23.0.1 had been an absolute nightmare recently, continually stuttering and stalling. My version of Rapport was reported as being up-to-date, but instead of uninstalling it I decided first to try simply stopping it running from the program console - "Stop Trusteer Endpoint Protection". This has worked and FF is now back to normal.
Lets hope stopping Rapport does the trick and our security is not compromised.
This is a regular problem. Watch out for updates to the Trusteer Support software. But a new Firefox will no doubt be out in about a weeks time.
Super common problem these days...like everyday. I've tried the resolutions in this thread to no avail. Here's the latest crash report ID:

EVERYONE
- This is a old thread started in the days of Firefox23 containing posts about many; probably unrelated; problems.
- Please do not post in other users threads about your own problem. It is not the best way to get help (and against guidelines). Instead please follow the advice under to start your own thread about your own question
Hi mmmichelleleigh,
Sorry you have problems with crashes.
I know it is inconvenient to ask this but the following really would be better
- Scroll through and read this thread. If you do not find a solution:
- Please start your own thread use this speciallink.
It is direct and cuts out a few steps so it is quicker also contributors helping on the forum will recognise it as relating to this thread. - Try to follow the prompts to include troubleshooting information.
Try the green button [Automate this].
If that fails mention it in the new thread. - Post back in this thread but only to confirm a new thread was started.
Someone will cross link the threads so anyone who wishes may follow both threads. - In the new thread
- Re-read Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly)
- Post a couple of the most recent submitted Crash IDs. They begin bp-
(Type about:crashes into the address bar and click the green arrow to find them.
Paste them into your own new thread. Do Not use the general link contained in the article.) - Try Firefox in safe mode and with all plugins disabled. If it still crashes paste another couple of Crash IDs into the new thread please. See

Disable or remove Add-ons_how-to-disable-plugins
Thanks for your understanding. Let's all try to work together on solving this problem.
