I have tried updating my browers several times and am unsuccessful. What am I doing wrong? I have un-installed, & re-installed, and still have the old version
Every web page I visit informs me that firefox is out of date. I update it by following the instructions and it will not update. Please help!!!
Chosen solution
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.2.17) Gecko/20110420 Firefox/3.6.17 FBSMTWB
Your UserAgent string in Firefox is up by another program that you installed quite awhile ago.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_Agent
type about:config in the URL bar and hit Enter
If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.
Filter = general.useragent.
Right-click the preferences that are bold, one line at a time, and select Reset.
Then restart Firefox
