How do I set my default browser to Firefox?

When a URL is in an email message and I click on it, it goes to Safari. I want it to go to Firefox. I looked through all the preferences settings and could not find an answer to this. Thank you.

This is not set in Thunderbird. Thunderbird uses your default operating system browser.

Go into Safari and tell it that it is not the default and then go into Firefox and set it as the default.
