I'm now finding it difficult to use FF because 29 makes it hard for me to scroll through my (many) tabs. Also, the tab bar seems to be twice as tall as necessary and I can't find a way to reduce this to save space on my laptop screen. I'd be grateful for any suggestions. Customisation is great until the thing you rely on suddenly isn't there.

You can look at the Classic Theme Restorer extension to see if that helps.

Classic restorer seems to remove tab scrolling?

I'm now into my second full hour of unsolicited, unplanned interface modification attempts (Linux Mint updated FF to 29 without warning me of the implications). I know this software is nominally free and everyone has an opinion but, for me, how it LOOKS strongly affects how it WORKS (ie if it works).

I spend a lot of each day staring at this interface and I'd have paid cash not to have it messed about with.
