Following a switch off and restart triggered I think by a Windows update, Thunderbird is not displaying any messages in my Inbox, though it is showing the number of messages in the Inbox title bar. 'Drafts' and 'Sent' all display correctly, but the 'Inbox' is blank with a grey icon of an envelope and the statement: "No message found". I am an IT novice. I looked on the 'help' pages. I have checked that no filters are set. I have right-clicked on the 'Inbox' title to display the menu with 'properties' at the bottom. I have clicked on that to bring up the dialog box with the "Repair" icon. It shows 'Inbox' in the 'Name' box but I note that the 'Location' box is blank. Presumably it should not be. Presumably it should show either the location of locally stored messages on my hard drive, or the location of the messages on the email server. I am not sure which. I have found the directory on my hard drive where I believe the messages are stored locally. The size of the file suggests to me that they are all there. The periodic 'Checking for new messages' is happening, but nothing is displaying, though a check via webmail shows that new messages are arriving on the server. I run Thunderbird on my HP Windows 11 laptop. Occasionally certain Inbox email messages seem to disappear. Just the other day I purchased a Microsoft Office 2019 package. I received a confirmation email from Groupon and a email from the software provider Tomslicense. Both seemed to be gone from my Inbox today. Luckily I also run The Thunderbird app on my Samsung A15 smartphone. I was able to locate the missing emails on the phone and forward them back to myself. So what exactly is happening here? Could these emails be masked or hidden somehow by Thunderbird? Any ideas? Thanks

My mail stopped downloading Feb. 19 at 8:02 am. I use Bell and Mozilla Thunderbird with Windoes 11. Note that my wife also has Bell but Bell email and the messages download no problem. We both have the same email address, namely spaull@bell.net.

I've been a Firefox user for at least 10 years. I recently installed Firefox on a new desktop PC, and the Firefox Privacy Notice tab popped up. "No worries," I thought, and read it and made my cookies choice. I didn't find anything about a separate "submit" or "Close" gadget, so I simply closed the tab. Now, every time I leave the Home page or open a new tab, the Firefox Privacy Notice keeps popping up. Please advise me how to close it for good.

Unfortunately, I have lost all of my browsing history on Firefox. There are no recently closed tabs that I can restore, and I've also checked for recently closed windows, but there are none to recover. It feels as though my entire digital footprint has vanished, leaving me unable to revisit important pages or retrieve valuable information I was previously accessing. Please help me.

How do I ensure that I receive email notifications when there's a response to a question I've posted on this forum?

In my profile settings, "edit settings," I've checked the box "watch forum threads I start," and in "manage watch list" I've checked "questions."

Also, why are their two separate setting sections as noted above? And why am I only subscribed to the one question (under "manage watch list") I posted earlier today when I've been subscribed to my previous questions in the past? I can't even find an option to subscribe to my other previously asked questions.
