I have set up gmail in pop3 so that it will download gmail messages to thunderbird. In my folders list I have Gmail acccount with inbox folder and also my other email account ***@i....com with inbox folder. I also have gmail set up to receive my other regular email as well as gmail messages. In thunderbird the ***@i....com emails are being downloaded to both inboxes. I used to get only the gmail messages into the gmail inbox and the other messages in the other local folders inbox. Not sure what to do. I want only the gmail messages coming to the gmail inbox in thunderbird.

I am trying to send 10 emails in total, one per day, according to the date and time in the CSV/Excel file. However, it is not automatically sending them according to the sheet. Either it is not reading from the sheet or there is some other issue. e.g., Column A: To (1@test.com, 2@test.com, 3@test.com,...) Column B: Date (2025-02-15 13:00, 2025-03-15 13:00, 2025-04-15 13:00,...) Column C: Subject (Test Subject A, Test Subject B, Test Subject C,...) So on Then I'm using Mail Merge and Send Later but not getting the automated result.

Result Expected: Enter everything in the Excel file and run it via Mail Merge/ Send Later or any other Add-on to achieve this.

Any help in this will be much appriciated.

I have a PNG file of my email signature. I know I can click INSERT > LINK and then enter my website address on the IMAGE PROPERTIES page so that the recipients can click the logo to go to my site. Every time I wish to do this, along with adding the web address, I also have to go to the additional screen that asks for ALTERNATE TEXT, TOOLTIP etc. Is there a way to save all this information as default so it doesn't need to be manually entered every time? Whenever I receive a reply to an email I've sent, the reply I receive from the sender is addressed to a different email address than the one I used to send it. It's a legitimate address, just not the one I'd like to use. I think it's buried somewhere in account settings, but I have not been able to find it. Thanks, Peter

Hi, I have a persistent but intermittent problem sending emails. When an email decides it is not going to go a pop up appears and it says:

Sending the message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to Outgoing server SMTP (failed). The server maybe unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify your outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again.

Can you please advise how to resolve this issue?

I have recently begun receiving the following error message from Thunderbird: "Server imap.earthlink.net has disconnected. The server may have gone down or there may be a network problem". It doesn't happen constantly, but at least half the time when reading or moving messages to a different folder or when deleted messages from trash. Examining Earthlink directly from a browser shows that the action issued under Thunderbird has occasionally not been executed. Earthlink Support says everything is OK with them. (I suspect a timing issue, but do not know how to proceed.)

Hello, My system is ubuntu 24.04.1 Suddenly my Thunderbird no longer show inline and not even HTML code for incomming mails, just straight text. Some weeks ago everything worked fine. Of cause I have tried to tune in TB settings and the konto-specific part in TB, but nothing seems to help... I have tried a antivirus scan of the whole system with clamscan but no virus was found. Can someone out there give me a clue what to do..? Probably there is a very straight way, but I can't see it. Regards/LÖ

Hello, since a short time (I don't know whether or not it depends on new updates) I am getting long and changing messages in the lower line of the Thunderbird window (see attachment), which alternates at least 4 times.

Before this was not the case, and downloading E-mails was much faster than it is now. What can I do?

Hi, The last month or so, probably after uninstall Bitdefender and using MS Defender, Thunderbird has become very slow in response. When tyoing a new email, it can take up to 5 seconds from typing to the letter appears in the mail. And toggling between mails can also take many seconds.

What can I do? The software is fully opdated, windows 11 on a modern Lenovo ThinkCentre with plenty of RAM.

Can you add a 're download 'function for a downloaded email? Currently, I often encounter difficulties in opening the PDF attachment of emails downloaded by the client, but there is no problem on the web email interface. When I delete the current client email configuration and re config and re download, it seems that the PDF has been successfully downloaded again.

Hi, Since my email was updated(thunderbird) when I want to start a new email message when I push 'new email' the new message page pops up. Every thing is there except the send button and the encrypt button is faded out and not operational. I cannot send or forward an existing email that has come in. I can only reply to an email. I have not changed any settings at all and this problem is both on my desk top and lap top as both have Thunderbird email. This problem just recently happened I think from the latest update

I have checked port settings and nothing has changed at all. I really hope someone is able to help. I am not a computor wizz kid. Help needed please. Thanks if you can help

Hi, I have been using Thunderbird for a long time and never had any issues until last Thursday. I was able to connect to my ISP email server but it ended up showing no new emails even though I know that I have emails as I am able to see them on my iPhone. So thinking that something changed, I removed my account details from Thunderbird and try to reconnect. The first stage, the detection of my ISP email server passed with no problems.

See the first attachment.

So after seeing this, I click on the Done button and then the problem arises.

Now to cover some other important information. I talked with my ISP and we checked the configuration manually that is shown in both attachments and they were completely correct to their files. No deviation in any manner. We trip POP3 and also IMAP settings and still got the same error as the second attachment. I and the tech support person from my ISP also checked the typing of my password, the original one and even the new password 10x. I also typed each character of my password slowly, just in case I typed it wrong having it visible to me and invisible to me and still got the same error as the second attachment. Also the images are from today January 29, 2025 approximately from the last 20 minutes. So this is fresh for an attempt to connect to my ISP email server, not just from some previous attempt.

Hopefully I can get a work around from the forum. Oh, one more thing I have the latest Mozilla Thunderbird that is available and that is Version 128.6.1esr (64-bit) as I had updated it before I attempted to connect to the ISP email server. I have done no uninstalls.

Hi, I had to remove an email account from Thunderbird and did not check the box to remove the data. I then put it back in but all the data is missing except today's emails. I followed the instructions for importing from a file, one minute it is telling me the prefs.js file is missing, I try again and after about 3 attempts it goes through and indicates it is successful but the files are not coming back. Any other ideas? I have attached the log. Thanks.
