I use thunderbird, latest version, for windows Vista. I keep getting the [SPAM] tag on messages from known emails, and they just stay in my inbox.

As in [SPAM] Subject:

I don't know why it does that. I use avg which scans email, but I only installed that a few weeks ago. before that, I used McAfee which had an anti spam, but I recently stopped using McAfee and uninstalled it completely. So far I haven't gotten viruses from any emaiI. I don't know why some addresses are suddenly and randomly marked as SPAM.

I remember this was mentioned as an issue earlier but I couldn't find it in the search. i appreciate any help. thanks

Thunderbird does not use the word Spam or modify message subject lines. Look at your antivirus software or your email providers spam tools for your issue.
