incoming mail goes to two different accounts

How do I stop incoming mail from going to two different accounts. One is gmail.com account and the other yahoo.com

That sounds like you have setup say Gmail to collect yahoo mail for you then Thunderbird fetches yahoo and gmail with the yahoo in it already.

To undo such an arrangement you will need to log into the servers webmail and undo what you set.

You want all the mail to go to one inbox?

View menu (ALT+V) > Folders > Unified

I want mail addressed to mailbox "A" to go only to "A", but it also goes to mailbox "B"
