I had to factory reset my Lenovo ThinkPad with WinXP prof. as O.S. However I.E. is not opening any webpages since Microsoft does not support WIN.XP any longer. Thus I cannot open mozilla.org either to download F.F. What can I do in this situation to download F.F. I have checked my internet Wi-Fi connection and it is excellent. Thank you for your support. Download Firefox 31 with the Win7 PC that you used to post here, and transfer the setup file to that WinXP PC via a USB Flash drive.

You can get the full off-line installer here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html

Hi Robert,

This is strange, no matter Microsoft no longer supports Windows XP Internet Explorer should open web pages as usual. Only thing I can think of is to download Firefox on different machine and transfer installation with flash drive, cd, local network etc. Also are you sure your internet is working, are you tested it with some other internet services? Maybe Windows shows that your network is okay but in truth it's not.

To check for sure is your internet working properly go in Start, click on Run, type cmd.exe and press enter. In Cmd type "ping google.com" and press enter. Check is your PC receiving packages, if it does your internet is fine else your internet connection isn't working properly.

Thank you Edmeister and Vladimir for your fast replies and yes, by using the download link you suggested and transfering it with a USB drive the problem was quickly resolved. Thank you again. Robert
